Women's tennis begins spring season with dual losses in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The women's tennis team dropped their first two matches of the spring season at Transylvania on Saturday. GU dropped a 6-3 decision to Ohio Northern and a 8-1 contest against Transylvania.

Greenville took a win in No. 1 doubles against ONU when Mireia Birosta and Addison Brannon picked up a 8-6 win.

In No. 1 singles, Birosta won 6-2, 6-1, and Emily Buratovich topped her opponent 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 in No. 6 singles.

Facing Transylvania, only Birosta won a match, taking her No. 1 singles match 6-4, 7-6.

The Panthers (3-5) will next compete during Spring Break in Hilton Head, S.C.
