Women's tennis drops matches on Saturday

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's tennis team faced a pair of challenging opponents on Saturday as they completed their fall season of dual matches. The Panthers dropped their opening match 8-1 to Loras before falling to UMAC opponent Webster 6-3 in a non-conference tilt.

In the match against Loras, No. 1 Mireia Birosta went to a tiebreak after splitting the first two sets and came away with Greenville's lone victory, a 6-3, 1-6, 10-4 decision.

Against Webster, the Panthers split their singles matches for their three wins.

No. 1 Birosta, No. 2 Addison Brannon, and No. 5 Natalia Higashi were their singles winners.

The Panthers (2-3) will compete later this fall in the ITA regionals.
