ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's tennis team lost to No. 3 seed Webster 5-1 in the UMAC South Division Qualifier before taking third place with a 5-0 win against No. 4 Westminster on Friday.
Mireia Birosta and Addison Brannon teamed up in No. 1 doubles and gave Greenville an 8-7 win, but the Panthers entered singles competition trailing 2-1.
Webster won the first three completed singles matches to advance to the UMAC championships in Minneapolis.
In the second match of the day, Westminster forfeited a 5-0 decision to Greenville.
The Panthers conclude the season with an overall record of 7-12.
