ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's track and field team competed in their outdoor season opener and took fourth place of the participating teams at the Washington-St. Louis mini meet.
Chelsea Gilles grabbed a pair of wins as she finished with the top times in the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes.
Gilles posted a 12.44 second race in the 100 and a 25.40 second run in the 200.
Greenville received a second place mark from Jessica Chappel in the shot put as she provided a throw of 12.02 meters.
Third place finishes were collected from Chappel in the hammer (44.24 meters) and discus (36.96 meters). Sierah Ruffner cleared a height of 1.60 meters to take third in the high jump.
The Lady Panthers will return to St. Louis to compete at Washington University on Friday and Saturday.
