Women's track and field finishes second at Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The women's track and field team was second of 10 teams at the Rose-Hulman Twilight meet on Friday.  The Lady Panthers had two event winners and three runners up.

Taking event championships were Chelsea Gilles in the 200 meter dash and Brooke Goodyear in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Gilles posted a time of 26.12 seconds.  Goodyear finished in 11:45.30.

Gilles also collected a second place mark in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.90 seconds.

Gabby Adams was a second place finisher in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:14.98, and Jessica Chappel threw the hammer 11.80 meters for second place.

The women's team collected 111.5 points to place second to Rose-Hulman.  The Lady Panthers return to competition on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, at the SLIAC championships in Greenville.
