Women’s track and field takes second at Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. — The women's track and field team collected 61 points and finished second at Millikin's meet on Saturday.

Rachel Hanna gained the win in the triple jump as she recorded a best effort of 10.16 meters (33 feet-4 inches). She also won the high jump at 1.33 meters (4-4.25).

Carli Abbott was the winner in the discus with a mark of 34.56 meters (113-5).

Marideth Tate topped the meet participants in the hammer throw with a first-place mark of 41.81 meters (137-2).

Savannah Maloney used a distance of 33.02 meters (108-4) to take second in the javelin competition.

The Panthers will bring several track and field teams to Greenville for their Greenville Select Meet on Saturday, April 14.
