Women's volleyball records fourth straight win

SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. -- The women's volleyball team continued their solid early season play with a four-game victory at St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Tuesday night. Allyson Mitchell continued her solid early-season play with a match high 24 kills as Greenville won 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23.

Greenville opened by hitting at a .212 clip in the first set, followed a match high .320 in the second set.  They dropped the third set when they posting a .020 hitting percentage, but the women rebounded with a .227 hitting percentage in the final set.

Kirsten Laune ran Greenville's offense and played a solid defense as she totaled 26 assists and 14 digs.

Allyson Grabowski gave Greenville 22 digs as the team leader in that category.

Sierah Ruffner and Savannah Sells provided a solid presence at the net as Ruffner came up with one solo block and five block assists.  Sells also chipped in five block assists.

The Lady Panthers (4-1) face Principia and Blackburn on Saturday in their SLIAC season opening matches.
