Women's volleyball nine match winning streak snapped by No. 15 Washington-St. Louis

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team had Tuesday night's match with Washington University circled on their schedule as an early season test between two 2015 NCAA national tournament participants.  The evening did not end well for Greenville as they lost a three-set 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 match.

The Lady Panthers held a mid-set advantage at 18-17 in the final set, but couldn't gain the seven ponts they needed to push the match to a fourth set.

Greenville's Savannah Sells was productive at the net as she contributed to 10 points with seven kills, one solo block, and two block assists.

Allyson Mitchell, Brittni Bell, and Sierah Ruffner all had five kills.

Kirsten Laune produced 23 assists and was Greenville's top defender with nine digs.

The Lady Panthers (9-2) travel to Webster to face 2015 SLIAC tournament participants Westminster and Fontbonne on Saturday.
