Women's volleyball tripped up by Illinois - Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team played at Illinois - Springfield on Tuesday night and came up short in four sets.  Greenville lost 25-18, 22-25, 25-20, 25-18 as they won the second set.

Greenville received its offensive punch from Allyson Mitchell who had 18 kills in the match.  She attempted 53 attacks and five errors.

Setter Kirsten Laune provided 34 assists in her role.

Mitchell and libero Janisha Pealer posted 12 digs, and Sierah Ruffner had two solo blocks and one block assist.

The Lady Panthers (18-6) travel to Fontbonne for a match Wednesday at 7 p.m.
