Women's volleyball routs Blackburn 3-0

CARLINVILLE, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team collected a three set win at Blackburn on Wednesday as they raised their SLIAC record to 9-3.

Greenville won with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-22.

The Panthers hit at a .455 rate in the first set as they took early control of the match.  GU's serve gave Blackburn fits as Greenville tallied 11 service aces of its 57 points in the match.

Allyson Mitchell provided a match high 13 kills to lead the Greenville offense.  She also added four aces.

Abby Freeman posted 12 kills, and Anna Fitch chipped in seven kills and three aces.  Alex Falcone had three aces.

Brittni Bell led Greenville's defensive efforts at the net as she had one solo block and three block assists.  Allyson Grabowski piled up 15 digs.

The Panthers (15-4) pulled into a third place tie with Principia as they jockey for a high seeding in the SLIAC tournament.
