Women's volleyball wins 24th match of season

LISLE, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team split day two of its trip to Benedictine as they opened with a five set win over perennial NCAA Tournament qualifier Elmhurst before falling in four sets to Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Abby Freeman was a dominating force against Elmhurst as she recorded 19 kills and three block assists for 20 and a half points.

Allyson Mitchell posted a double-double with 11 kills and 21 digs while also recording three service aces.

Anna Finch gained nine kills, two service aces, two solo blocks, and four block assists for 13 points.

Allyson Grabowski was busy with 27 digs in the match.

The second match of the day saw Mitchell record 20 kills, but it was not enough to offset Eau Claire's attack as Greenville came home with the loss.

Grabowski tallied 21 digs in the match to lead all participants.

Freeman was second on the team in points against Eau Claire with nine and a half on seven kills, a solo block, and three block assists.

The Panthers (24-6) travel to Washington-St. Louis on Tuesday for their final regular season match as they prepare for the SLIAC tournament.
