Women's volleyball captures win over MacMurray

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The women's volleyball team secured a three set win at MacMurray on Thursday night as they defeated the Highlanders 25-19, 25-21, 25-13.

Abby Freeman led the team in the match with 24 points when she produced 13 kills, eight service aces, one solo block, and four block assists.

Anna Finch continued her solid play in the middle with 12 kills, including a team high hitting percentage of .458, a service ace, and block assist.

Abby Quirin put the offense in situations to succeed all night with 37 assists in the match.

A pair of Panthers reached double figures in digs.  Allyson Grabowski had 14 digs, and Peyton Morris produced 10 digs.

Greenville hit better than .200 in every set and topped out with a .267 mark in the final set.

The Panthers (11-7, 7-1 SLIAC) are off this weekend.  They return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Washington-St. Louis in a match at 7 p.m.
