Women's volleyball adds fourth SLIAC victory

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa - The women's volleyball team traveled to Iowa Wesleyan for a mid-week SLIAC match and overcame a first set loss to take a four-set victory on Tuesday night.  The Panthers won 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-14.

Abby Freeman led the Panthers with 20 kills in the match on 37 swings.  She committed nine errors and finished with a hitting percentage of .297.

Anna Finch added a double-digit effort in kills with 11.  She hit at a .429 clip with two errors among her 21 attacks.

The Panthers came up with five blocks at the net.  Finch, Maci Bonacorsi, and Jasmin Smith each had a solo block.  Freeman and Emily Stahl provided two block assists.

Greenville had three Panthers reach double figures in digs.  Smith collected 15 digs, and Chasity Hill had 12 digs.  Kaitlin Murray ended with 11 digs.

The setting efforts were led by Murray with 28 assists, and Jordan Lempa provided 15 assists.

The Panthers (9-6, 4-0 SLIAC) face Blackburn at home on Thursday at 7 p.m.
