Women's volleyball defeats Webster in three sets

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. - The women's volleyball team rolled to a three-set win over Webster on Saturday, taking control in the first set and riding that momentum to a sweep.

The women rebounded from Wednesday's disappointing setback at Westminster and took charge early on Saturday, setting the tone with a 25-17 opening set win.

In the second set, Greenville was a 25-21 winner before collecting a 25-15 win in the final set.

Mia Bonacorsi had a noteworthy performance on Greenville's attack, collecting 14 kills and committing just one error in 32 attacks. She finished with a hitting mark of .406.

Emily Stahl also performed admirably with eight kills, one error, 18 attacks, and a hitting rate of .389.

On defense, Anna Finch posted two solo blocks and two block assists.

Sacorra Patton ended with eight kills and a team-best 21 digs.

The Panthers (4-1, 4-1 SLIAC) host Fontbonne on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
