Women's cross country finishes as runner up at Greenville Classic

HILLSBORO, Ill. - The women's cross country team placed second overall at the Greenville Classic on Friday at the Hillsboro Country Club. Gretchen Carie recorded the third best time in the meet with a mark of 19:40.

Norah Swinigan posted a seventh place finish, wrapping up the five kilometer run in 20:19.

Brook Schutt finished ninth overall with a time of 20:21.

GU's number four runner was Sedina Logan who clocked a time of 20:55 for 12th place, and the final scoring runner for Greenville was Raven Vance with a time of 21:04.

The Panthers collected 47 points overall in the meet. Heartland won with a score of 22.

The Panthers will next compete on October 28 in Litchfield at the SLIAC Championships.
