Men's basketball collects victory over Spalding

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The men's basketball team kept pace with Westminster, Iowa Wesleyan, and Blackburn as a first place SLIAC team when they gained a 130-115 win against Spalding on Thursday night.

Spalding kept the game close through the first 30 minutes of the game, but Greenville's pressure wore down the Golden Eagles as the Panthers took control in the second half.

Kenny Greene led a group of five Panthers with 10 or more points as he had a team-high 22 points.

Shane Smith produced a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Greenville forced Spalding into committing 35 turnovers as Johari Dix, Smith, Michael Hohm, and Stevonte Young each collected three steals.

The Panthers (10-2, 4-1 SLIAC) will play at Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday in a battle of first place conference teams.
