Men's basketball receives strong second half in win at Dominican

RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The men's basketball team kept their winning streak alive with a 145-123 victory at Dominican on Tuesday night. Johari Dix made his return to a suburb of his hometown Chicago and ended as Greenville's high scorer in the game with 24 points.

Dix, who prepped at Midwest Elite in Chicago, also managed to add six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

The game was knotted at 65-all when they reached halftime, but the Panthers went on a second half run that saw them outscore the Stars 80-58 to win by 22.

Eric Williams had another 20 point outing with 23 points, but he also added a team-high nine rebounds and five steals.

Marvin Bateman was a part of Greenville's second unit, and he posted 21 points.

Adam Warren narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Greenville converted 53-of-113 field goal attempts, including a mark of 15-for-43 behind the three-point line.  They also added 24-of-37 free throws.

GU dominated the glass by outrebounding DU 58-43.

The Panthers (6-4) travel to MacMurray for a game on Saturday at approximately 3 p.m.
