Men's track and field collects 15th place finish in 100 from Davis

GENEVA, Ohio - The men's track and field team received a 15th place performance from junior Jeremiah Davis in the preliminaries of the 100 meter dash on Friday at the NCAA Division III national championships.

Davis ran the 100 meters in 10.66 seconds earning the sixth place position in his heat. His time of 10.652 seconds bettered the mark of the 16th place finisher by five thousandths of a second and was one hundredth of a second behind the 14th place mark.

Davis' participation in the 100 was the third event in which he competed at the championships. He ran the 4x100 meter relay and 200 meter dash on Thursday.

Davis will conclude Greenville's season on Saturday in the finals of the 200 meter dash at approximately 2:50 p.m. Eastern time.
