WHEATON, Ill. - The men's cross country team ran to a 12th place finish at Wheaton on Saturday morning as they competed against some of the nation's strongest teams.
The nation's No. 1 team, North Central, competed at the meet and actually received second to Washington-St. Louis, the nation's No. 7 team. No. 19 Cornell and No. 22 Chicago also competed.
Overall, Greenville recorded 290 points in the team standings.
John Mangold was Greenville's best runner, completing the 8k in 26:24 for 30 points.
Mangold was followed by Dylan Goodyear whose 26:45 recorded 38 points.
After a week off, the Panthers go to Millkin on Friday, Sept. 28, for a meet.
