Men's cross country concludes fall season with 20th at NCAA Midwest Regional

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The 2018 SLIAC champion men's cross country team ran in the NCAA Midwest Regional in Wisconsin on Saturday and were led by senior John Mangold as they placed 20th of the 35 competing teams.

Mangold returned to form with the top time among Greenville's runners.  He completed the eight kilometer course in 26:24, tying his second best time of the season and was just three seconds from matching his top time this year.  Mangold crossed the finish line in the 80th position.

Just six runners later, SLIAC champion Dylan Goodyear completed his race.  Goodyear posted a time of 26:28 and was nine seconds off his season's top time.  He was 86th overall.

Collin Kessinger ranked third for Greenville with a time of 27:16 as he finished 122nd.  He recorded his second best time of the year, missing the best time by nine seconds.

Dylon Niswonger and Kaleb Carlson completed Greenville's scoring with the 167th and 175th placements in the race.

Overall, Greenville collected 630 points in the race.  Fellow conference schools Webster and Principia also competed.  Webster was 28th with 775 points, and Principia placed 34th with 1006 points.

The Panthers concluded their 2018 season with their 15th SLIAC championship.
