ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The men's cross country team was led by Dylan Goodyear as they placed 11th of 23 teams at the competitive Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana (IL).
Goodyear finished 20th overall and received 15 points in the team standings for Greenville. Goodyear completed the race in 25:57 at a pace of 5:14 per kilometer.
Greenville's second runner to finish was Collin Kessinger. Kessinger placed in the 62nd spot and earned 52 points of Greenville's total. Kessinger ran his race in 26:56.
Eleven runners later, Dylon Niswonger crossed the finish line with a time of 27:11. Niswonger provided 65 points for GU.
Greenville's final two scoring positions were taken by Noah Dir (27:47, 114th place, 85 points) and Garrett Johnson (28:04, 131st, 95).
The Panthers will be off for two weeks, and they return to action on October 18 at Bradley.
