Softball stopped by Washington-St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The softball team faced a challenging Washington-St. Louis squad and found themselves on the wrong side of a 12-0 final score.  The game was shortened to five innings.

The Bears scored three runs in the first, five in the second, three in the third, and a single run in the fourth.

Brianna Anderson started in the circle for Greenville and gave up six runs, five earned, in 1.1 innings.  She allowed nine hits and struck out one.

Becca Oldham relieved Anderson and went the rest of the way, going 2.2 innings and allowing six runs, three earned, on seven hits.

Jordyn Wieland, Kate Jolliff, and Cassandra Lueking provided hits for Greenville.  Jolliff's hit was a double.

The Lady Panthers (21-13) face Westminster on Saturday in a doubleheader for the SLIAC regular season championship and top seed in the SLIAC tournament.
