Women's soccer sees opportunities slip by in 1-0 shutout

DECATUR, Ill. -- The women's soccer team opened the regular season with a 1-0 shutout loss at Millikin on Saturday.  The Lady Panthers outshot Millikin 13-7, but they could not put the ball in the net.

Greenville's Jamie Schollenbruch had four shots in the contest with two on goal.

Breanna Thomas also had four shots with three on goal.

Goalkeeper Hope Brakenhoff tallied three saves and allowed one goal in 90 minutes.

Millikin scored its goal in the 72nd minute.

The Lady Panthers (0-1) will host Rose-Hulman on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
