Women's soccer maintains SLIAC lead with win at Westminster

FULTON, Mo. -- The women's soccer team kept pace with Webster and Spalding as undefeated in SLIAC play with a 2-1 conference win at Westminster on Thursday.

Greenville received goals from Jade Taylor and Dani Pearce in the 14th and 64th minutes, respectively, as the women took a 2-0 lead.

The Panthers posted nine shots, including five on goal, as they made the most of their efforts.

Breanna Thomas assisted on Taylor's opening goal, and Kate Arthur collected the assist on Pearce's goal.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates allowed one goal by Westminster but posted seven saves.

The Panthers (8-4, 2-0 SLIAC) travel to Principia for a match on Saturday at 3 p.m.
