Women's soccer crushes Iowa Wesleyan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The women's soccer team moved a match closer to clinching a position in the 2017 SLIAC women's soccer tournament with a 10-0 win over Iowa Wesleyan on Wednesday.  Greenville hit the 10 goal mark for the second straight match and the third time this season.

The Panthers dominated the match from the outset with five goals in the first 10 minutes.  By halftime, Greenville held a 9-0 lead.

Greenville received two goals from SLIAC leading scorer Jade Taylor, Kate Arthur, and Kaylie Weideman.  Single goals were scored by Dani Pearce, Megan Taylor, Courtney Lawrence, and Morgan Jetton.

Breanna Thomas tallied four assists, and Natty Hepburn had assists on three goals.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates faced two shots as she recorded another shutout.

The Panthers (11-5, 4-1 SLIAC) will host Spalding on Saturday at 4 p.m. in its annual Homecoming match which is doubling as Senior Day.
