Women's soccer moves forward in SLIAC tournament

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team defeated MUW 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon to advance to the semifinal round of the SLIAC tournament.

Greenville dominated the Owls offensively, outshooting them 23-1.

The Panthers collected five goals in the first half alone and added two more in the second. 

Ashlie Johnston Cabral led GU on offense with eight shots, one goal, and one assist. 

Katelyn Christensen led the team with two goals, one in the first half and one in the second.

Allyson Schulz also had a notable appearance with three shots of her own, one goal, and four assists. 

Addison Miller was in the net for the Panthers and had one save. 

The Panthers (9-7-3) will play Fontbonne on Thursday night with a championship appearance berth on the line.
