Women's track and field places fifth at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. - The women's track and field team competed at Monmouth on Saturday where they earned 32.5 points to finish fifth at the meet.

Headlining Greenville's team score was the distance medley team of Sheridan Noll, Sydney Porter, Sabrina Favela, and Hannah Williams who received third place and six points.  They completed the race in 14:01.63

A pair of entries provided Greenville with fourth place finishes.  The 4x200 meter relay with Jessica Staley, Rachel Hanna, Haniah Davis, and Cayden Sharp finished in fourth with a 1:53.68.  Sharp also tied for fourth in the high jump, gaining 4.5 points with a height of 1.43 meters (4 feet, 8.25 inches).

Sharp and Savannah Maloney gave the Panthers fifth place marks.  Sharp completed the finals of the 60 meter dash in 8.28 seconds, and Maloney hit a distance of 11.54 meters (37-10.5) in the shot put.

The Panthers will send their indoor qualifiers to the NCCAA national championships next weekend at Cedarville.
