Women's track and field takes fifth at NCCAA nationals

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The women's track and field team was the fifth place team at the weekend's NCCAA national championships at Cedarville.

Greenville collected 48 points.

Sydney Porter earned second place in the pentathlon with 2358 points in the five person field.

Greenville's distance medley relay team of Hannah Williams, Alyssa Comer, Sheridan Noll, and Kori Nesbit placed third in 13:47.

Noll, Williams, Sabrina Favela, and Comer were third in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 10:36.

Victoria Papez took fourth place in the weight throw with a distance of 13.18 meters (43 feet-3 inches).

Greenville's 4x200 meter relay of Jessica Staley, Haniah Davis, Cayden Sharp, and Andrea Priddle finished in 1:51.10 to rank fourth.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Porter, Staley, Priddle, and Sharp managed a fourth place performance in 4:26.16.

The Panthers will compete at the SLIAC invitational next Saturday at Principia.
