Women's volleyball topped at Washington-St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's volleyball team suffered a three set setback against Washington-St. Louis on Tuesday night.  Greenville ended with 19 more attacks than the Bears, but the Washington defense prevailed with 52 digs to hold GU at bay.

The Panthers lost with final scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.

Abby Freeman led Greenville with nine kills, three service aces, and a block assist to total 12.5 points.

Anna Finch hit .222 and produced eight kills.

Allyson Grabowski paced Greenville's defensive efforts with 13 digs, and Emily Stahl helped with two block assists.

GU hit .036 with 22 kills, 20 errors, and 110 attacks.  WU produced a .253 hitting percentage (36-13-91).

The Panthers (11-8) return to action on Wednesday against Iowa Wesleyan.
