Women's volleyball earns 20th win at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. - The women's volleyball team pushed their winning streak to six matches with a four set win at Eureka on Wednesday night.  The Panthers dominated the first and third sets, winning the match 25-11, 22-25, 25-10, 29-27.

Abby Freeman continued her suffocating attack with 24 kills and 10 errors among her 63 attempts.  She also had a season high nine service aces en route to 34 1/2 points.

Anna Finch posted 11 kills and also added three block assists at the net.

Three players tallied 12 or more digs, led by Allyson Grabowski with 16.  Abby Quirin added 15 digs, and Freeman showed her versatility with 12 digs.

Quirin provided direction for the offense by passing out 40 set assists.

The Panthers (20-9, 15-2 SLIAC) reached 20 wins in a season for the ninth straight year, and they will play for a share of the SLIAC regular season championship on Friday night against Fontbonne at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
