Women's cross country opens in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's cross country team collected 153 points to take the sixth place position of nine teams competing at the Washington University Early Bird meet on Friday. 

Lia Kruse was Greenville's first finisher with a time of 16:03. Kruse was 43rd overall and gave Greenville 18 points.

Second to cross the finish line was Megan McKee whose time of 17:09 was 71st and accounted for 31 points.

Shirley Estes was third for Greenville with a time of 17:17. She gained 33 points.

Sheridan Noll and Jordan File finished back-to-back as 78th and 79th in the race. Noll received 35 points with her time of 17:23, and File added 36 points by completing the course in 17:29.

The Lady Panthers return to action on Friday, Sept. 9, at Olivet Nazarene.
