GREENVILLE, Ill. - The football team received 217 rushing yards and three touchdowns from Paul Garrett in their 45-7 romp over Finlandia on Saturday.
The Panthers recorded 24 points in the first quarter with two rushing touchdowns from Garrett and one from Terrance Brown. Lucas Hermo also made a 27 yard field goal.
In the second quarter, Greenville received another rushing TD from Garrett and a 10 yard touchdown reception by Seth Logan sandwiched around a Finlandia punt return touchdown.
Greenville's Delrey Crowder connected with quarterback Peyton Bates for a 28 yard third quarter TD.
The Panthers dominated the game, only allowing the Lions 39 yards of total offense. Greenville posted 485 yards and held a commanding 45:00-15:00 advantage in time of possession. The Lions only earned one first down.
GU's defense was led by Trevor Stewart with 1.5 quarterback sacks. Lawrence Harris added a fumble recovery, and William Nowlin had an interception.
Greenville (6-3, 4-1 UMAC) concludes the regular season at Minnesota Morris next Saturday.
