Men's basketball drops 120-92 decision to Loras

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's basketball team opened their season with a 120-92 loss to Loras on Friday in H.J. Long Gymnasium.

The Panthers were outscored 56-39 in the first half and 64-53 in the second half.

Keishun Thomas had an outstanding performance for Greenville with 28 points in the game. He made 10-of-16 shots, including 8-of-14 three-point attempts. Only Jarred Johnson with 18 points joined Thomas with double-figure scoring outputs for GU.

Thomas and Mohamed Did led the Panthers with three assists, and the Panthers collected seven steals in the game.

Joseph Craig finished as Greenville's leading rebounder with five in the game.

The Panthers (0-1) host Millikin on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in H.J. Long Gymnasium.
