Men's basketball falls in SLIAC opener at Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. - The men's basketball team dropped a 103-92 decision at Eureka on Wednesday night. Donato Pakak provided a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to help the Panthers.

The Panthers fought back from a 30 point deficit with a little over 12 minutes to play and made it an 11-point defeat by scoring 21 of the game's final 27 points.

Pakak's double-double was his best performance of the season and established career-best marks.

Jarred Johnson finished as Greenville's leading scorer with 15 points and also chipped in six assists.

Brock Bailey had a 12-point and 3-steal effort, and Gaawar Tuom posted his career high with 11 points.

The Panthers (1-11, 0-1 SLIAC) host Principia on Saturday at 3 p.m.
