Men's basketball falls 100-92 at Blackburn

CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The men's basketball team dropped their contest with Blackburn 100-92 on Saturday. Jarred Johnson scored 19 points for the Panthers, and Keishun Thomas had 17.

Greenville was trailing 52-44 at halftime, and both teams scored 48 points in the second half.

In addition to Johnson and Thomas, Carlos Crespo surpassed double figures with 14 points, and Travis Dickey added 12 points.

Greenville's rebounding efforts were paced by Jamie Calmese with seven.

Joseph Craig provided a team-high five assists before fouling out.

Blackburn managed to contain GU's pressure and only committed 16 turnovers, and the Panthers obtained eight steals.

The Panthers (2-15, 1-5 SLIAC) will host Spalding on Thursday in Greenville.
