Men's basketball secures 113-110 win over Dominican

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's basketball team claimed another non-conference victory by scoring 16 of the game's final 20 points as they eliminated a nine point deficit and recorded a 113-110 win over Dominican.

Vincent Rodriguez led the Panthers in scoring with 18 points in the game. Ja'Rod Webb and Kiarie Patrick followed Rodriguez with 16 points, and Christian Bennett finished with 14 points.

Bennett's final two points came at the free throw line in the final four seconds of the game with the Panthers clinging to a one point lead. After a flagrant foul, Bennett converted both free throws, and the Panthers ran out the remaining time for the win.

Carlos Crespo racked up 10 points and a team-high four assists.

Patrick, Grimmett Glenn, and Kendrick Alexander all recorded three steals, and Patrick earned a double-double by adding 13 rebounds.

The Panthers (4-1) go to Knox for a game on Saturday afternoon.  The four wins by the Panthers in their first five games most recently matches the 2016-17 team that went 21-6 overall for the best start to a season.
