Men's basketball tops Westminster 134-107 in Missouri

FULTON, Mo. - The men's basketball team bounced back from an early season slide with a dominating 134-107 win at Westminster on Wednesday night. Adrian Alvarez posted 23 points as Greenville's top scorer.

The Panthers led the Blue Jays 62-47 at halftime and then continued to outscore Westminster 72-60 in the second half.

Vincent Rodriguez scored 18 points in the win, and Kiarie Patrick and Ja'Rod Webb each had 15 points.

Grimmett Glenn joined GU's double-figure scoring leaders with 11 points, and Jamie Calmese and Carlos Crespo each had 10 points.

The Panthers rebounding leader Joseph Craig provided the team with eight rebounds.

Greenville collected 23 steals in the game, and Rodriguez led the team with four steals. Patrick, Webb, Calmese, and Alvarez each added three steals.

Patrick, Rodriguez, Crespo and Trenton Lee all posted three assists.

The Panthers (5-4, 1-1 SLIAC) will receive a visit from Webster on Saturday in a game at 3 p.m.
