Men's gymnastics sets new program high score in meet at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The men's gymnastics team competed at Ohio State on Saturday.  Michael Avery and Logan Watterson earned wins in their events as the Panthers cruise to a new program high team score of 387.350!

Greenville posted a 62.500 in the floor exercise where Avery took first place with a score of 13.550. 

Watterson took first in vault, contributing 14.650 points to Greenville's overall vault score of 70.950. 

Koby Cantu placed second in pommel with a score of 12.850.

Sergey Popov and Landon Benas tied for fifth place in the rings with marks of 13.100. GU scored 63.400 in the rings. 

Greenville took second and third place in the parallel bars. Jaxon Clapper placed second with a score of 13.600, and Jacob Foster scored a 13.400, putting him at third place. 

Mac Pollock was Greenville's top performer in the horizontal bars. He added 12.950 points to GU's event score of 62.950.

The Panthers will next compete on Saturday, Jan. 20, against the University of Illinois in Greenville.
