Men's gymnastics places second at Nebraska tri-meet

LINCOLN, Neb. - The men's gymnastics team traveled to Lincoln on Saturday to compete against Nebraska and Army in a tri-meet. The Panthers placed second with a score of 395.700. 

Logan Watterson earned the event title in vault with a 15.000, contributing to GU's 71.350. 

In the floor exercise, Zach Connelly took second place with a score of 14.200. 

Jaxon Clapper placed third in the parallel bars with a mark of 13.850. 

Greenville had some high scorers in the pommel. Koby Cantu took fourth place with a 13.750. Jacob Foster and Landon Benas followed close behind in fifth and sixth place, earning a 13.600 and 13.550 respectively. 

Donovan Diviney was Greenville's top performer in the horizontal bar. He earned a 13.250, placing him sixth. 

Ethan Poole gave GU a 12.900 performance in rings, placing him fourth. 

The Panthers did not enter anyone into the all-around competition. 

Greenville returns home for their next meet against William and Mary on March 2nd.
