Men's gymnastics finishes regular season with a win over Simpson

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's gymnastics team dominated against Simpson in their last home meet of the season. The Panthers won 394.450-362.800.

Greenville won five event titles with the highest score in vault. They collected a 71.900 for the event. 

The Panthers took the top five spots in the vault with Logan Watterson at first. Watterson scored a 14.500. 

In floor, Zach Connelly placed first with a mark of 13.850. Jaxon Clapper was the runner-up with a 13.450. 

Landon Benas took first place in the pommel horse with a 13.700. Matthew Roth was just tenths behind with a 13.550. 

Simpson won the title for rings, but Sergey Popov and Jacob Foster tied for second place with scores of 12.750. 

Kevin Laurino and Clapper tied for first in the parallel bars with marks of 13.700.

In the horizontal bar, Foster placed first, earning a 12.950 with a stuck landing. 

Greenville did not enter anyone into the all-around competition. 

The Panthers compete in the USAG Championships at Air Force on March 22nd.
