Men's soccer drops home contest to Whitewater

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The men’s soccer team challenged Wisconsin-Whitewater and was defeated 3-0 at Francis Field on Friday.

The Panthers were only outshot by the Warhawks 6-5 in the first half. However, the Warhawks managed to score a goal against Greenville in the 10th minute of the game.

Neither team added to the score during the remainder of the half. Greenville went into halftime trailing 1-0.

Whitewater tacked on two more goals in the second half in the 47th and 78th minutes.

The Panthers were unable to put one in the net themselves, making the final score 3-0.

Jaime Sainz protected the net for Greenville and had two saves.

The Panthers (3-3) will host Wisconsin-Platteville on Saturday at 1 p.m.
