Men's soccer falls against Wisconsin-Platteville 4-0

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team lost Saturday's match to Wisconsin-Platteville 4-0.

Greenville had two shots in the first half. The Panthers’ first shot was from Jose Elias Fernandez in the 32nd minute. Following quickly after him, Tim Florek took a shot in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, both shots just missed the top of the net.

The Pioneers scored two quick goals in the 17th and 18th minutes of the game and another in the 20th minute. 

Platteville scored once more in the second half, making the score 4-0.

Patricio Pichardo had a shot in the second half in the 47th minute, but it did not result in a goal for Greenville.

Hiram Cruz was the goalkeeper for the Panthers and had a total of six saves.

The Panthers (3-4) go to Monmouth for a match on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
