Men's tennis topped by Principia in UMAC championship

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The men's tennis team's season concluded with a 5-2 loss to Principia in the championship match of the UMAC tournament.  The Panthers fell short of their third straight appearance in the NCAA national tournament.

Greenville's two wins came in the doubles round when the No. 1 team of Andres Sanchez and Rafael Rodriguez and the No. 3 combination of Luke Motsinger and Jean Rigaud Sanabria picked up wins.  The Panthers won 8-2 in No. 1 and 8-6 in No. 3.

GU went to a third set in three of the six singles matches but did not earn a win.

The Panthers wrapped up their season with a record of 14-8.
