GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's cross country team will be represented by Gianni Estrada at the NCAA Division III national championships at Olivet (Mich.) on Saturday.

Estrada, a sophomore, finished 21st at the men's Midwest regional last weekend with a time of 25:33. He becomes the fifth runner in Panther program history to qualify for nationals, the first since Josh Martsolf in 2005.

In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams, and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions that were held this weekend.

The top seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team were selected to participate in the championship.

The 2022 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will take place on Saturday at Forest Akers East Golf Course in Lansing, Mich. Estrada's race will start at 12 p.m. EST.
