HILLSBORO, Ill. - The men's cross country team finished second at their own Greenville Classic on Friday afternoon at the Hillsboro Country Club.

The Panthers earned 55 points in the meet and ranked second only to Heartland who scored 26 points.

GU's top runner was Gianni Estrada in third place with a time of 26:35 over the eight kilometer course.

Adam Wellen gave Greenville a ninth place finish in 27:21, and Isaiah Atkins finished 13th in 27:40.

James Goodenow posted GU's number four time with a 17th place showing in 27:48. Teammate Elijah Atkins was right behind with 18th place and a time of 27:53.

The Panthers will continue their season on October 28 at the SLIAC Championships in Litchfield.
