Women's basketball holds Lincoln Christian to 35 points in convincing win

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team held a 20-4 lead after the first quarter and extended their halftime advantage to 34-11 in their 60-35 rout over Lincoln Christian on Monday night.

Greenville scored the first 20 points of the game, leaving little doubt in spectators' minds about what would become the eventual result.

Emily Reinneck finished as GU's leading scorer with 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the field, including a mark of 2-of-7 behind the three-point line.

Ashley Anderson added 11 points to the GU scorebook, and Haven Robertson and Madelyn Stephen provided nine point efforts.

Reinneck and Anderson also contributed eight rebounds, each falling two rebounds shy of a double-double.

Stephen posted three assists in the game, and Reinneck and Amanda Brooks each added two steals.

The Panthers (5-2) return to action on Saturday, Dec. 4, with a game against Knox in H.J. Long Gymnasium at 2 p.m.
