ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's basketball team led 15-9 after one quarter in Wednesday night's matchup at Washington-St. Louis, but the Bears came from behind and downed the Panthers 61-43 on the road.

Washington took a 31-22 lead at halftime before pushing it to 52-36 after three periods and settling for the 18 point win.

Savana Powell-Goodman posted Greenville's high with 13 points as its only scorer in double figures.

Alyssa Seymour and Carolina Hoffman each had six points.

Seymour provided GU's high in rebounds with eight, and Hoffman chipped in four assists.
