Women's basketball falls 88-57 at Webster

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's basketball team dropped an 88-57 decision at Webster on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers finished with three players reaching double figures scoring efforts, led by Carolina Hoffman with 15 points, Savana Powell-Goodman with 11, and Alyssa Seymour with 10.

The Panthers trailed 28-15 after the first quarter, and Webster continued to lead 47-34 at halftime.

After three quarters, the Panthers were down 70-50, and the Gorloks added to their lead by outscoring GU 18-7 in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers hurt themselves with 29 turnovers in the game that led to 36 Webster points.

Mia deJesus posted GU's top rebounding performance with 10 in the game. Hoffman led with six assists, and Seymour posted a team-high three steals.

The Panthers (10-9, 7-5 SLIAC) will travel to Principia for a game on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
