Women's gymnastics takes third at Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The women's gymnastics team returned to action at Lindenwood on Sunday in tri-match with Lindenwood and Centenary. The Panthers accrued 183.950 points for third place among the three teams.

Greenville's strongest rotation was the vault where they produced a score of 47.200.

Amara Nelson led Greenville in the vault with a 9.625 while Rachel Miller posted a score of 9.500.

The floor rotation was the Panthers' second most lucrative event. They collected 46.775 points in that event.

Nelson again led the way with a score of 9.750 and Miller and Ellery Gilmer each provided 9.500 points.

Greenville had 45.150 points in the uneven bars. Nelson was GU's leader with a 9.275, and Miller earned a score of 9.225.

In the beam, Gilmer gave the Panthers 9.525 points of their 44.825 total.

Overall, Greenville's point total ranked third to Lindenwood's 195.425 and Centenary's 187.

The Panthers will next compete on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Simpson in an event with both the men's and women's programs.
