Women's soccer challenges Washington University despite 2-0 setback

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's soccer team had an impressive showing at Washington University on Thursday night, but the Panthers ultimately fell short 2-0 after allowing two second half goals.

The Panthers received a shutout effort from goalkeeper Addison Miller in the first half with one save to her credit.

In the second half, the Bears attempted seven shots, six on target, and received goals in the 56th and 64th minutes.

Carly Wagner received the call as goalkeeper in the second half and faced four shots on goal with two saves.

The Panthers received single shots in the match from Ashlie Johnston Cabral and Idaly Valenzuela and were outshot by an 11-2 margin.

Greenville (0-1) will play Augustana at home on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
